Credit card statement analyzer
OwnFi analyses a credit card statement on your phone: import the PDF from Amex, Chase, Citi, HDFC, ICICI, SBI, RBC, TD or any other issuer, and get spending by category, recurring subscriptions, top merchants, anomalies and a Card & Debt Health score, without uploading the statement anywhere.
Card payments and transfers between your own accounts are recognised as movement, not spending, so totals stop double-counting.
How it compares
| OwnFi | Issuer's own app | Web analyzers | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Works across issuers | Yes, every card in one place | One issuer | Yes |
| Statement leaves your phone | Never | Already with the issuer | Uploaded |
| Subscription detection | Yes | Sometimes | Sometimes |
| Card & Debt Health score | Yes, computed from your own limits and payments | Credit score from a bureau | No |
| Price | Free | Free | Often paid |
OwnFi's Card & Debt Health figure is the app's own arithmetic from your balances, limits and payments. It is not a credit score and never contacts a bureau.
How it works
- Download the statement you already get
Your bank's app or website has a PDF or CSV for every month. Save it to your phone, or share it straight to OwnFi from the bank's app.
- Import it on the phone
OwnFi reads it locally: 27 named bank formats plus a parser that learns any CSV once you confirm the columns. Password-protected PDFs open with the password your bank sent, which is never stored.
- Get the number
Transactions are categorised, bills and subscriptions detected, and the Dashboard shows what you can safely spend today with upcoming bills already reserved.
Questions
Which credit card statements parse?
American Express (US), Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi, the five big Canadian banks, SBI, HDFC, ICICI and Axis card statements, MUFG and SMBC, plus a generic fallback.
Password-protected card statements?
Yes on iPhone and on Android 15 or newer. The password is used once and never stored.
Can it find subscriptions I forgot?
Recurring charges are detected from the statement and listed with their next expected date on the Bills & Subscriptions screen.
Is the Card & Debt Health figure a credit score?
No. It is a 0–100 read on your cards and debts from your own numbers, shown with every factor visible.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Free, no subscription.
